On November 21, 2019, a tragic car accident claimed the life of Daniel Chemjor, a seasoned journalist working at K24.
According to reports, Chemjor's vehicle veered off the road as it approached the Kerio River bridge on Wednesday night, rolled several times, and plunged into the deep Cheploch gorge in Baringo County.
A multi-agency team, including the police, took almost four hours to retrieve the vehicle using a military crane on Thursday morning.
Colleagues from the media industry expressed shock and grief on social media, describing Chemjor as a humble man who worked as the Head of News Directors at K24.
Several tributes poured in, including one from Ali 'Mwamvita' Manzu, who said, 'RIP Daniel Chemjor Thank you for your wise decisions in matters live events. May God comfort your family during this difficult times.'
Others, like Fridah Simiyu and John Juma, also paid their respects, expressing condolences to Chemjor's family.
