On November 21, 2019, Siaya-based journalist Eric Oloo was found dead under mysterious circumstances in Ugunja.
At the time of his untimely death, Oloo worked as a journalist for The Star newspaper.
His body was discovered inside the home of a female Chief Inspector of Police, whose identity has not been publicly disclosed.
According to Siaya County Police Commander Francis Kooli, the body had visible blood stains on the head.
The police boss further stated that the Chief Inspector is currently undergoing interrogation.
The body has since been taken to Ambira Sub-county hospital mortuary for a post-mortem examination.
