On November 20, 2019, K24 journalist Daniel Chemjor lost his life in a tragic car accident in Cheploch Gorge.
According to reports, Chemjor had been at a joint with a friend earlier that night and left at 11 pm to head to Kabarnet to see his newborn baby.
It is alleged that he may have been intoxicated at the time of the crash.
His vehicle, a Toyota Premio, veered off the road and hit a guard rail before plunging 200 meters into the river Cheploch George, which separates Elgeiyo Marakwet and Baringo counties.
Chemjor was the head of production at K24 before his untimely death.
