Jose Mourinho's £15m Tottenham Deal Makes Him Second-Highest-Paid Manager

Jose Mourinho has taken the top spot as the second-highest-paid manager in football after signing a £15m-a-year contract with Tottenham.

According to reports, Mourinho's staggering salary puts him behind only Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola, who is said to be on £20m a year.

Guardiola's contract has certainly been worth it for City, who have won five out of six major domestic trophies under Guardiola.

Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone ranks third on the list, with a contract until 2022 that pockets him £13m a year.

Former Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez and Fabio Cannavaro, the boss of Guangzhou Evergrande, are among the top 10 highest earners in management.

Paris-Saint Germain boss Thomas Tuchel and Barcelona chief Ernesto Valverde are in joint eighth place on £8m, while Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp completes the top 10 on £7m-a-year.
