On November 21, 2019, a journalist was reported missing after his vehicle veered off the road and plunged into a deep gorge in Kabarnet, Kenya.
The incident occurred as the vehicle was approaching the Kerio River bridge, and it rolled several times before landing inside the gorge adjacent to the Cheploch river, which borders Baringo and Elgeyo Marakwet counties.
Police arrived at the scene shortly after midnight and spent several hours trying to retrieve the vehicle, but their efforts were hampered by darkness.
As of the latest reports, the number of occupants in the car remains unknown.
