Google's ambitious Stadia cloud gaming service launched on November 19, 2019, with a promise to revolutionize the gaming world. However, the service's debut was marred by complaints from gamers, who experienced sluggish play and were unable to receive their access kits or codes.

Some gamers were vocal in their criticism, expressing concerns about the service's reliance on cloud computing and its potential impact on the gaming industry. An MBG channel on YouTube, which focuses on PlayStation consoles, tweeted that Stadia was 'flopping.'

"I'd be lying if I said I wasn't smiling," MBG said in the tweet. "Maybe that's cynical but I can't support a company who is pushing for a cloud only gaming future. Stadia simply can't compete with PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo or PC."

Despite the initial setbacks, Google remains committed to making Stadia a success. The company has partnered with Ubisoft, a French video game giant, to bring its games to the service. Chris Early, Ubisoft's senior vice president of partnerships, expects a long launch period during which Google will continue to improve Stadia.

"If there is a one-day problem at launch, it isn't the end of the world," Early said, stressing the potential for Stadia to let people play without investing in consoles.

Stadia's launch follows the introduction of other cloud gaming services, including Microsoft's Project xCloud and Sony's PlayStation Now. The service's success will depend on its ability to provide a seamless gaming experience, despite potential issues with internet connectivity and lag.
