On November 20, 2019, a tragic incident occurred in Nairobi, Kenya, that left a family in mourning. Leonard Komora, a 19-year-old boda boda rider, was shot dead by a Kenya Navy soldier for allegedly trespassing.
According to eyewitnesses, Komora had gone to pick up a soldier at the Kenya Navy staff quarters when he was killed under unclear circumstances. His mother, Martha Njeri Munene, was left to grapple with the loss of her only son, who was the family's breadwinner.
