On November 20, 2018, businesswoman Monica Kimani was brutally murdered in her apartment. Five months later, a shocking revelation has emerged in the case: the main suspect, Joseph 'Jowie' Irungu, was not alone in the apartment when the crime was committed.

According to a five-page report by Joseph Kagunda Kimani, a government analyst, 73 DNA samples were taken at the crime scene. The report revealed that Jowie's DNA was present at the scene, as it matched the DNA samples found on Monica's pillow and a rear seat.

However, the report also revealed that two DNA profiles were generated from the samples: one belonging to Jowie and the other to an unidentified individual, believed to be a woman.

Monica's brother, George Thiru, had previously stated that Monica was scheduled to meet two men, Jennings Odhiambo and Jowie, on the morning of her murder. However, their calls went unanswered, raising suspicions.

George and another relative eventually gained entry to the apartment, where they found Monica's body in a bathtub with her hands and legs tied with a white cable. The police suspect that the murderer used a knife to slit Monica's throat.
