Monica Kimani's father, cleric Paul Ngarama, is going through a difficult time as the trial of her suspected killer, Joseph Irungu alias Jowie, resumes.
Ngarama has asked his followers to pray for him, citing the resumption of the case of his daughter, who was brutally murdered in 2018.
According to court records, Jowie was the last person to be seen with Monica before her death. He has been attending the ongoing court sessions and is currently remanded at the Kamiti Maximum Prison.
Lee Omondi, a friend of Monica, testified in court that he met Jowie at Monica's house on September 19, 2018. Omondi said that Jowie was introduced to him as 'Joe,' and a neighbour by the name Walid was also present.
During his testimony, Omondi recalled a conversation he had with Monica, in which she noted that 'even Joe is following you now.'
Ngarama has taken to social media to seek prayers from his followers, saying, 'I need your prayers friends, the case of my daughter Monica kimani, started this week, some trust on horses and big armies but I trust upon the Lord Jehovah God, speak a prayer.'
Monica's body was discovered dumped in her bathtub at her apartment in Kilimani, with her throat slit, hands bound, mouth taped shut, and part of her clothes torn.
