Hot96 FM has added a new talent to its lineup, with Cynthia Waithera Mwangi taking on the role of radio host on Saturdays.
Ms Mwangi, who is also the head of radio at Royal Media Services-owned Hot96 FM, will be hosting 'The Morning After' show from 6am-10am.
According to Ms Mwangi, the show will focus on infotainment, aiming to spark conversations among Kenyans.
'It's an infotainment show. As the name suggests, it's the morning after…after a long week, you want to start your weekend relaxed, with great music and great conversations,' she said.
Ms Mwangi emphasized that her new role will not affect her position as station manager or producer of the 'Hot Breakfast' show hosted by Jeff Koinange and Prof. Hamo.
'This doesn't affect my position in any way. I'm still the station manager, shows producer and now radio host. The thing about RMS is we don't shy away from growing talent we allow people to pursue their passions whatever they are and this is one of my passions I am pursuing,' she told Pulse Live.
Ms Mwangi took to social media to announce her new role, saying: 'A journey of a thousand miles starts with one step. Here is my first step….stepping out to a new challenge. Join me on my new journey, let's learn, laugh, dance, do it all on this journey. Saturday mornings are for good music and great conversations don't you agree?'
