Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) boxers, including Rabat African Games 'Hit Squad' captain Nick Okoth and African Games bronze medallist Fredrick Ramogi, will miss the fifth and final leg of the National Boxing League in Kisumu, starting Thursday at the Ofafa Memorial Hall.
The decision was made to allow some of their boxers to concentrate on preparations for the African qualifiers for the 2020 Olympic Games, which will be held from February 20 to 29 in Dakar, Senegal.
However, KDF will have several boxers in Kisumu, including Kevin Maina, who won the flyweight category in Nanyuki, and international light fly Veronica Mbithe, who is also preparing for Olympic Games qualifiers.
