Kisii Private Schools Excel in 2019 KCPE Exams

On November 21, 2019, the people of Kisii County celebrated the outstanding performance of their private schools in the 2019 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) examinations. The region's top performers were from private schools, with several students scoring over 400 marks.

At Elsa Academy, Griffin Arama Matundura emerged as the top county pupil, scoring 434 marks. Griffin's ambition is to join Alliance High School and later pursue Law at the university. He credits his success to his parents, teachers, and hard work.

Griffin's achievement was not an isolated incident, as more than 20 pupils from Elsa Academy scored over 400 marks. Tracer Preparatory School in Kisii Central Sub County also produced top performers, with Morgan Given Anunda scoring 422 marks. Anunda plans to join either Kabarak or Alliance Boys and later pursue Medicine at the university.

Excell Elementary School in Bobasi Sub-county also had a remarkable performance, with more than 15 pupils scoring between 400 and 419 marks. The school's Director, Wilfred Asuga, attributed their success to hard work and determination.

Kisii Governor James Ongwae and Women Representative Janet Ongera congratulated the best performing institutions and individuals for maintaining high academic standards in the region.
