Mathare coach Salim Ali chose not to speak to the media after the match, while Sofapaka coach John Baraza expressed his team's confidence in facing future opponents.

"Mathare is a tough team, and we are elated to have won against them. Though they pressed hard for an equaliser, my defenders didn't give them a chance to score. They have played well, but we won because we took our chances," Baraza said after the match.
