On November 17-21, 2019, the Dubai Airshow took place at Al Maktoum International Airport, a venue that will eventually become the world's largest airport, capable of handling over 160 million passengers and 12 million tonnes of cargo annually.

Among the 165 aircraft on display was Jambojet's brand new De Havilland Dash 8-400, which was delivered in late October 2019 as part of the airline's regional expansion plan.

"We are delighted that De Havilland chose to showcase one of our aircraft," said Allan Kilavuka, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Jambojet.

This marked the first time Jambojet participated in the airshow and the first time a Kenyan airline took part in an international exhibition.

"It's a great honour not just to Jambojet, but to the country, and goes a long way in demonstrating our readiness to grow our footprint," Mr Kilavuka said. "It also helps us enhance our credentials as a world-class airline, following the recent international awards we won."

JamboJet is taking part in the airshow for the first time.

At least 1,300 exhibitors took part in the event, representing all aspects of the aerospace industry, including engineering, engine manufacturing, business aviation, and defense.
