Published on November 20, 2019, Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen has spoken out against the internal divisions within the Jubilee party.

Murkomen, a vocal member of the ruling party, has expressed his frustration with the 'Kielewele' and 'Tanga Tanga' factions that have been sprouting within the party.

Speaking on NTV's Sidebar, Murkomen emphasized the need for a united front within the party, stating, 'I hate this idea of 'kieleweke' and 'tanga tanga'. The thing to do now is to bring together the Jubilee party.'

He further added that one of the key issues to address within the party is to find ways to meet frequently, in order to foster unity and cooperation.

Murkomen also expressed his support for President Uhuru Kenyatta's sentiments during his Sagana meeting with Mt. Kenya leaders, and recommended that the president replicate the move to other regions across the country.
