On Wednesday, Kapsaret MP Oscar Sudi met with Kibra MP Imran Okoth at the National Assembly, following the latter's swearing-in as the new Member of Parliament for Kibra.
As reported by Uhondo News, Sudi expressed his willingness to support Okoth, despite being from different rival political parties.
"Welcome to the National Assembly my brother Hon. Imran Okoth. I am looking forward to working with you closely as we deliver our mandate in the 12th parliament," Sudi wrote.
This move comes just a day after Dagoretti North MP Simba Arati met with Kimilili MP to reconcile after clashing during the Kibra By-elections.
Other MPs also welcomed Okoth to the National Assembly, with some expressing their support on social media.
"Really emotional day for me to welcome Imran Okoth, the new MP for Kibra, to parliament, and to know for sure that the legacy of my late friend and parliamentary colleague Kenneth Okoth will live on. Congratulations @ImranOkoth and all the best," tweeted Yusuf Hassan MP.
