On Tuesday, Justice David Majanja stepped down from hearing the Nairobi Hospital board dispute case, citing his family ties to some of the hospital's doctors.

According to reports, the matter will now be heard by Justice Hellen Okwani, with the parties expected to appear in court on Wednesday.

The Nairobi Hospital is embroiled in a leadership crisis, with the court previously extending orders to bar the new management from taking office.

Earlier this year, lawyer Fred Ngatia, representing the Board, argued that the notice calling for a special AGM was invalid due to unmet requirements.

However, a rival group led by Maxwell Otieno Odongo and others maintained that the extraordinary general meeting had rejected John Simba, Coutts Otolo, and Allan Gachukia as directors of the Kenya Hospital Association.
