Freelance journalist Richard Muema is recovering at Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) after being shot seven times in Kasarani's Sunton Area on an unknown date.
According to reports, Muema was shot in the stomach and leg while trying to defend his friend, a shopkeeper, who had been attacked.
His wife has been seeking prayers from her followers on Facebook, hoping that Muema will make a full recovery.
She posted on Facebook, 'Am too young for this dear lord, why me God, am not even 30yrs. I can’t bear this pain in my heart, my sweetheart is going through a lot. He’s the best husband, dad, son, and brother, oh Lord hear my cry. Want to see him out of this room, I can’t eat. I cry anytime I think about the love we have, you a peaceful man. Listen to my prayers.'
She also shared a message thanking God for giving Muema a second chance, saying, 'I can’t tell the happiness I have today. I have talked to the sweetest man in the world and he listened. His eyes are now wide open. Thank you, Jehovah, no one like you. Asante yeah. Keep praying for our hero.'
She also shared a special message on Facebook, 'God heal my husband completely?'
