November 20, 2019 - Tottenham Hotspur has parted ways with manager Mauricio Pochettino, ending his five-year tenure at the club.

The decision was made by the club's chairman, Daniel Levy, who stated that the Board had taken the decision 'not in haste' but due to the team's poor performance in the current campaign.

Levy acknowledged the team's 'many memorable moments' under Pochettino's leadership, but emphasized the need to 're-energise' the squad and deliver a positive season for the supporters.

Under Pochettino's guidance, the team had reached the Champions League final just over five months ago, but have since struggled with a wretched start to the current campaign, winning only three league games so far.

Levy expressed his gratitude to Pochettino and his coaching staff for their contributions to the club, stating that they will 'always be welcome here.'
