On November 19, 2019, Governor Anne Waiguru appeared on Citizen TV's NewsNight Show, hosted by Wahiga Mwaura, where she made explosive allegations against Deputy President William Ruto.
Waiguru described Ruto as a 'hog' and a 'malicious politician' who uses others to achieve his goals, specifically accusing him of using her as a scapegoat in the NYS scandal.
She claimed that Ruto and his allies had orchestrated the scandal, using her and others as pawns to cover up their own involvement.
Waiguru also criticized Ruto for attempting to color her name and drag her into the scandal, despite knowing she was innocent.
She warned Ruto to face the music and present himself to the authorities for questioning, as he would soon be arraigned.
Waiguru vowed to continue unearthing the truth about the scandal and revealing the true personalities of those involved in looting Kenya since the Jubilee government came into power.
