Starlets Cruise into CECAFA Semi-Finals with 12-0 Thrashing of Djibouti

Published on November 19, 2019, Harambee Starlets secured their spot in the semi-finals of the CECAFA women's tournament after a resounding 12-0 victory over Djibouti in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania.

Starlets' midfielder Jentrix Shikangwa stole the show, scoring four goals, while Mwanahalima 'Dogo' Adam and Mercy Airo each scored a hat-trick. Vivian Makhokha and Janet Bundi also found the back of the net as Starlets secured their second consecutive win in the tournament.

The team will face Uganda Crested Cranes in their final group B match on Thursday, with the semi-finals scheduled for November 23. The CECAFA women's tournament finals will be held at the Chamazi Stadium on November 25.
