Spanish Football Federation President Luis Rubiales confirmed on Tuesday that Luis Enrique has been reappointed as Spain coach, having resigned in June to care for his late daughter.
The decision comes after Robert Moreno, who led the team to Euro 2020 qualification, stepped down to allow Luis Enrique's return.
Moreno had previously stated that he would step aside if Luis Enrique wanted to return as coach.
According to Rubiales, Moreno sent a message on Monday stating that he wanted to leave to avoid hindering Luis Enrique's return.
Luis Enrique's contract with the Spanish Football Federation remains in place until after the Qatar 2022 World Cup, and he will continue in his role regardless of the team's performance at Euro 2020.
