Kenya's aviation regulator, Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA), has grounded Silverstone Air's fleet following a series of incidents, including a crash at Wilson Airport on October 11, 2019.

According to a leaked internal memo, the airline plans to sack all its employees due to huge losses incurred as a result of the directive.

On October 11, 2019, one of Silverstone Air's aircraft (5Y-IZO) crashed at Wilson Airport while departing for Lamu, with five crew members and 50 passengers on board. Fortunately, there were no fatalities.

Another incident occurred on October 27, 2019, when the airline's aircraft (5Y-SMT) clipped an EASAX aircraft at the ramp at Wilson Airport.

On October 28, 2019, one of Silverstone Air's aircraft (5Y-BWG) lost a wheel on take-off from Lodwar, forcing an unscheduled landing at the Eldoret International Airport.

These incidents led to KCAA suspending Silverstone Air's operations, dealing a significant blow to the airline's plans to become a major domestic flight operator in Kenya.
