Following weeks of a heated dispute in Kibra, where Kimilili MP Didmus Barasa alleged he was attacked by guards escorting Dagoreti MP Simba Arati, the two have laid their differences to rest.
Barasa claimed he was roughed up by men who were escorting Arati during the Kibra by-elections, which were highly contested.
However, President Uhuru Kenyatta's statement in his Sagana declaration speech, describing the elections as the most peaceful in recent history, watered down the assertions made by Tanga Tanga, affiliated to Deputy President William Ruto.
Arati and Barasa were spotted sharing light moments in parliament on Tuesday, a clear sign that they have put their past differences behind them.
Imran Okoth was also sworn in as the new Kibra MP, replacing his brother Ken Okoth.
