On November 19, 2019, a devastating tragedy struck the Zambi family, claiming the lives of Anna's parents and siblings.

Anna, a KCSE candidate, had been looking forward to celebrating her prayer day with her family. However, they never arrived, and she was left with a heartbreaking discovery.

Speaking to Global TV, Anna's maternal aunt, Isabela Lyimo, shared the emotional details of that fateful day.

'She had bought her dad a watch, imported from China using her pocket money, and a Kitenge fabric for her mom to make a dress,' Isabela revealed.

As they reached the school, Anna wore her graduation attire, cut a cake, and even took photos with her friends, unaware of the tragedy that had befallen her family.

It was during the journey that Anna began to ask about her father's whereabouts, only to be told that her parents had passed away in a flash flood.

'On the road, she had so many breaks and kept asking me to call her dad so that he could meet us along the way,' Isabela said.

When they broke the news to Anna, she asked to see her sibling, only to be told that they too had died. The news was too much for Anna to bear, and she snapped, unable to control her cries of pain.
