On October 16, 16-year-old Vincent Ochieng Omondi from Ndere Mixed Secondary School in Ndhiwa went missing from his parents' home in Lang'i village, North East Kanyamwa Location.
His disappearance remained a mystery until a month later, when Radio Ramogi highlighted his story, prompting a man in Kanga village to come forward.
The man, identified only as Obwana, claimed to have 'rescued' the boy after hearing about the missing student on the radio.
He called Vincent's father, Charles Omondi Ondii, and told him that he had found the boy, leading the parents to rush to Kanga village where they were reunited with their son.
It is still unclear what Vincent was being 'rescued' from, but his safe return has brought relief to his family.
