Former KDF Major Peter Mugure's sudden dismissal from the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) on November 18, 2019, has sparked concerns over his mental health. According to reports, Mugure's colleagues at the Laikipia Air Base had noticed peculiar behavior from him in the past.
One of Mugure's colleagues recalled an incident where he stood in the rain for over 30 minutes, being rained on and constantly checking his watch. This incident reportedly disturbed fellow soldiers at the base.
Additionally, the colleague revealed that Mugure was 'grounded' after crashing an aeroplane as a trainee pilot, which might have contributed to his problems.
Tragically, the late Joyce Syombua's mother claimed that there was a previous attempt on the lives of her two grandchildren, Shanice Maua, 10, and Prince Michael, 5. She alleged that a woman posed as their teacher and attempted to poison them with a substance that looked like black tea.
When their father later called, Prince inquired whether it was he who wanted them dead. 'When Peter called later, Mike asked “are you the one who wanted us dead?”‘ the grief-stricken Elizabeth said while speaking to a local TV station.
