On November 19, 2019, the much-anticipated Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) report was set to be unveiled at Harambee House, the official office of the presidency.
According to our sources, Harambee House was chosen as the ideal location for the report's unveiling, rather than State House, as previously thought.
The significance of Harambee House lies in its proximity to the president's office, where Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga famously shook hands in 2018, vowing to unite the country after the divisive 2017 elections.
This location also holds historical importance, as it was here that Mwai Kibaki and Raila Odinga signed the National Accord in 2007, paving the way for a grand coalition government between ODM and PNU.
The first public rally in support of the BBI was scheduled to take place at Uhuru Park, with both Raila and Uhuru in attendance.
