Published on November 19, 2019, week seven of The Great Kenyan Bake-Off saw the contestants face a biscuit-themed challenge.

For the technical challenge, the contestants were tasked with making checkerboard biscuits, which required precision, good texture, and perfectly blended flavours. The checkerboard biscuit contains two flavours, lemon and vanilla, and the dough needs to be chilled for 30 minutes in the refrigerator or 15 minutes in the freezer before it is baked to get a nice buttery, crumbly texture.

Samira's biscuits were soft and chewy with just a hint of salt, while Alice's were crunchy and chewy and very flavourful. Rosie showed off her innovativeness with a chocolate ring around the biscuits, and Adeline impressed the judges with her design skills.

For the showstopper challenge, the contestants were given four hours to create a gingerbread structure, which needed to be standing by the time judging came round. The judges were looking for authentic flavours and good texture.

Adeline emerged as the winner of the showstopper challenge and was also named Star Baker of Week Seven. However, Alice was eliminated from the show.
