On November 19, 2019, Jacque Maribe returned to social media, sparking a heated debate about Jowie's bail. The recent engagement of MC Jalang'o to his long-time girlfriend has brought back memories of Jowie's case.
Jalang'o posted a Throwback Thursday picture with Jowie and social media influencer Dan Paps, captioning it as a message of encouragement to Jowie. However, one of Jalang'o's followers commented, 'Jowie??❤️ we praying for you.you deserve justice.'
Another follower responded, 'not that he deserves justice… He deserved a bail and he’s innocent till proven guilty, Monica deserves justice too but it was unfair kupea Maribe bail waache huyu.' Although the comment did not tag Jacque Maribe, it reached her, and she was quick to shut down the follower.
Angered by the comment, Jacque Maribe responded, 'please don’t mention my name on things you know nothing about. Thanks.'
It is worth noting that Jacque Maribe and Jowie were both key suspects in the murder of businesswoman Monica Kimani, a case that is still ongoing.
