Published on November 19, 2019, Jivu Music, a talented Kenyan duo from Rongai, Nairobi, has been making a name for themselves in the music industry with their captivating Afro-soul genre.
The duo, consisting of Uncle K and Chege Anderson, has been in the industry for four years, describing their journey as 'bumpy and concrete.' Despite not being mainstream for a long time, they have grown significantly and have met numerous people who have influenced their composition style.
Before Gengetone blew up, Jivu Music was already making waves, and they couldn't be more proud of their fellow artists. Their journey began at Sauti Academy, where they shared a classroom with notable acts such as Nvirii the storyteller, Bianju, and some members of H_art the band.
Their four-year journey has been the inspiration behind their EP, 'Hayawi Hayawi,' which features 8 tracks. The production of the EP is attributed to Waithaka Ent, House of Dillie, and Giggz, independent producers who have done an excellent job.
Jivu Music hopes to get signed at some point in their career if it comes with a better deal. With their unique sound and dedication to their craft, they are definitely ones to watch in the Kenyan music industry.
