Evaline Mumbi Komu, a 39-year-old resident of Columbia, Maryland, USA, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 16, 2019, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Evaline was preceded in death by her father, Samuel Komu. She is survived by her loving husband, Christopher Wachira Wanjue, and their dear daughter, Cynthia Wamaitha Wachira; her mother, Jane Wamuyu of Karatina, Kenya; siblings, Esther Wanjiru, Daniel Maina, Stanley Wang'ondu, Catherine Nyatoro, Caroline Nyawira; in-laws, Joseph and Mary Wanjue, and their children, Charles, Duncan, Michael, Teresa, and Richard; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family and friends are meeting daily at 6:00 PM at the Wachira's residence to share their condolences and support each other during this difficult time.
Visitation and memorial services will be held on Friday, November 22, 2019, at 5:00 PM at the Donald V. Borgwardt Funeral Home in Beltsville, MD 20705. Burial will follow at the Wanjue family farm in Nanyuki, Kenya.

As Evaline's family and friends mourn her passing, they take comfort in her final words, 'I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness.'
