On a dramatic evening at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani, Harambee Stars were held to a 1-1 draw by Togo in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on November 18, 2019.
The result leaves Kenya's qualification hopes in limbo, with Comoros now topping the standings with four points from two matches.
Kenya and Egypt are second with two points each, while Togo languishes at the bottom with a single point from two matches.
The top two teams from this pool will qualify for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.
Kenya's Johanna Omolo opened the scoring with a brilliant goal ten minutes before the break, but Togo's Hakim Oura equalised with a bullet header 20 minutes after the break.
"It was a good game, the boys showed fantastic mentality against a top and experienced team. The draw is what we got and we will improve on that to try get a win in the next game at home," said Harambee Stars coach Francis Kimanzi.
Omolo's goal was a stunning individual effort, as he stole possession from a Togolese defender and released a fierce left-footed shot that gave visiting keeper Malcom Danjuma no chance.
However, Togo fought back gallantly, with their goalkeeper making crucial saves to deny Kenya a winning goal.
Kenya's reserve keeper Ian Otieno produced arguably the save of the match, acrobatically throwing himself to parry a goal-bound shot and clear the rebound to safety.
