Arrest Made in Nanyuki Murder Case ¶
High Court Judge Lucy Mutai has ordered the arrest of Peter Mugure, a former military officer, and his co-accused Collins, 21 days after the alleged murder of his wife and two children in Nanyuki, Kenya.
According to reports, the bodies of Joyce Syombua, 31, and her two children, Shanice Maua, 10, and Prince Michael, 5, were found dead in a bush in Thingithu, Nanyuki, on November 16.
Police had initially requested more time to complete their investigations, but the High Court Judge has now ordered the arrest of the two suspects.
It is alleged that Mugure, who was a military officer at the time of the incident, had a history of domestic violence and had previously threatened his wife and children.
The case will be mentioned in court again on December 9.
Joyce Syombua's mother had previously spoken out against Mugure, accusing him of being responsible for the deaths of her daughter and grandchildren.
The case has sparked widespread outrage and has led to calls for justice to be served.
