Kimanzi Names Starting Lineup for Togo Clash

On Monday, Harambee Stars will face Togo in a 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier at Kasarani, and head coach Francis Kimanzi has announced his starting lineup.

Goalkeeper Ian Otieno will start in place of the injured Patrick Matasi, and will be protected by an unchanged back four consisting of Samuel Olwande at right back, Erick Ouma at left back, and the central defensive duo of Joash Onyango and Joseph Okumu.

Midfield will be anchored by captain Victor Wanyama alongside Lawrence Juma, with Johanna Omolo playing as the number 10. Upfront, Michael Olunga will lead the attack, supported by Eric Johanna and Cliff Nyakeya on either flank.

Here is the starting lineup: Ian Otieno (GK), Joash Onyango, Joseph Okumu, Samuel Olwande, Erick Ouma, Victor Wanyama (C), Johanna Omolo, Lawrence Juma, Eric Johanna, Cliff Nyakeya, and Michael Olunga.

On the bench, Harambee Stars have a strong squad, including goalkeepers Patrick Matasi and Timothy Odhiambo, as well as players like Johnstone Omurwa, Haron Shakava, Anthony Akumu, and Whyvonne Isuza.
