On November 17, 2019, a senior Kenya Commercial Bank employee failed to show up at work and his phone went unanswered, prompting a search that led to a tragic discovery.
The employee, identified as George Kiarie, was the branch manager of KCB's Nanyuki branch. His junior colleagues attempted to reach him on Saturday, but his phone was switched off.
Concerned by Mr. Kiarie's absence, one of his colleagues filed a report at the Nanyuki Police Station. Police officers then visited his house at Immanuel Flats in Nanyuki Town, where they broke into his room and found his body in the toilet.
Laikipia County Commander Maxwell Nyaema confirmed that investigations have been launched into the possible cause of Mr. Kiarie's sudden death.
The body of the deceased was transferred to the Nanyuki Teaching and Referral Hospital mortuary.
