Man Commits Suicide Months After Digging His Own Grave in Homa Bay

Charles Moseti, a 50-year-old man from Nyamira County, has taken his own life in Homa Bay County, months after digging his own grave.

According to the police, Moseti had left a letter explaining his reasons for taking his own life, which they did not immediately recognize as related to the grave he had dug earlier this year.

Police Commander Charles Barasa said that Moseti had informed his family that he had dug his own grave at his home, where he would be buried after his death.

"He told his family that he had dug his own grave at his home earlier this year to prepare for his death," Barasa said.

Barasa also stated that there was no connection between Moseti's death and the grave he had dug, as he had left a letter explaining his reasons for taking his own life.

"His death may have been caused by personal reasons, but we are still investigating to get the full details," Barasa said.

Moseti's body was taken to the Rachuonyo South Hospital mortuary in Oyugis.

He was a caretaker at a housing estate in God Okombo village, Rachuonyo East Sub-County, Homa Bay County.
