On Saturday morning, a 50-year-old man's lifeless body was discovered hanging from a rope at his workplace in Got Okombo Village, Kabondo Kasipul, Homa Bay.

According to villagers, Charles Moseti might have taken his own life after digging his own grave a few months ago.

Confirming the incident, Rachuonyo East sub-county police commander Charles Barasa stated that Moseti had reportedly dug a grave in his home, planning to be buried there upon his death.

“His pastor informed us that he had dug the grave at his home sometime back. It’s like he was preparing his family for this day,” Barasa said.

Despite the absence of a suicide note, the police have launched an investigation into the incident.

At the time of his death, Moseti was serving as a home caretaker at the village.

The body of the deceased was taken to Rachuonyo South Sub-county Hospital mortuary in Oyugis town.
