Published on November 18, 2019, KCB, the 2008 national volleyball champions, are confident of reclaiming the title at the Kasarani Gymnasium play-offs (November 22-24).

The team, led by captain Noel Murambi, has made significant changes to their squad, re-signing head coach Japheth Munala from rivals Kenya Pipeline and six key players.

Coach Munala, who won four consecutive national titles with Pipeline, believes this is the best time for KCB to reclaim the title.

“It is long since we last won the national title. I know it will be tough, but I think this is the best time for us to reclaim it,” Munala told Standard Sports.

With a strong squad and a determined team, KCB is ready to face stiff competition from their three opponents at the play-offs.

They begin their campaign on Friday against debutants Directorate of Criminal Investigation, followed by a match against champions Prisons the following day, and finally, an eagerly awaited tie against their new-found rivals Pipeline.
