According to the Year Book, the rapid growth and influence of technology, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence have opened massive employment opportunities for aspiring and established computing experts.
Edward Mwasi, the chief executive officer of Kenya Year Book, noted that governments should create conducive environments for businesses to thrive, rather than building offices for bureaucrats.
The book also observed that the explosion of social media in the era of smartphones and tablet computers has made e-commerce a reality.
Efforts to reform the education sector, including the introduction of Competency-Based Curriculum and strengthening Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) schools and colleges, are also highlighted.
