On November 9, 2019, Nakuru RFC's John Okoth made a crucial pass during a Kenya Cup match against KCB at KCB Sports club.

Former champions Nakuru RFC staged a remarkable comeback to defeat Kenya Harlequin 25-18, lifting themselves out of the Kenya Cup relegation zone.

Under the guidance of Kenya women's coach Felix Oloo, Nakuru trailed 18-3 at halftime but scored four second-half tries to secure the bonus-point win.

The victory took Nakuru's points tally to six, two above the relegation zone, which is now occupied by Kisumu RFC and Quins, the only side yet to register a win in the league.

Nakuru, who won back-to-back Kenya Cup titles in 2013 and 2014, will look to build on their first win of the season as they travel to Western Bulls this weekend.

Blak Blad, who had suffered three consecutive losses, also secured their first win of the season with a 31-3 thrashing of Kisumu RFC.

Kabras Sugar maintained their unbeaten record with a 40-15 win against Nondescripts, while KCB defeated Menengai Oilers 43-13.

Henly Du Plessis, Kabras Sugar's coach, expressed satisfaction with their performance, saying, 'We planned to start on a high and run them around, and it worked well in the first half. We let in soft tries in the final stages, but we are glad with the result.'
