Busia Governor Sospeter Ojaamong's Cabinet is on edge as the outcome of performance evaluations for County Executive Committee members and their chief officers looms. The evaluations, which were initially set to be released last Thursday, have been postponed to this week.

According to sources, Governor Ojaamong had given the new executive members and their chief officers two-year contracts, subject to renewal based on their performance. The contracts expire in March 2020.

Henry Wati, the head of the evaluation team, stated that they will be assessing the extent to which the Executive members have achieved their objectives since assuming office. The team will also rank the departments according to their performance.

Wati emphasized the importance of identifying the best performers and rewarding them, while also sanctioning those who will be rated lowest to take their job seriously.
