On Tuesday last week, a 5-year-old girl from Kanyawegi village in Kisumu went missing after being taken by an unknown man to Holo market in the company of other children, according to her father, Nahashon Juma Konde.
Speaking to Citizen Digital, Mr. Juma said the man left the other children and took his daughter to an unknown location, where she has not been seen since.
The alleged abductor has since been calling and demanding Ksh.100,000 ransom before releasing the girl, and has even threatened to kill the child if he is not given the money, Mr. Juma alleged.
Mr. Juma has since reported the matter to the Maseno Police Station and is appealing to Nyanza Regional Police boss Dr. Vincent Makhoha to personally intervene and help track the minor.
