On a day that will be remembered for years to come, Stefanos Tsitsipas made history by defeating Roger Federer 6-3, 6-4 in the semi-finals of the ATP Finals on November 17, 2019.

With this impressive win, Tsitsipas secured his place in the final, where he will face Dominic Thiem, who defeated Alexander Zverev 7-5, 6-3 in the other semi-final.

Tsitsipas's victory marked a significant milestone, as it was the first time since 2002 that none of the 'Big Three' - Federer, Rafael Nadal, or Novak Djokovic - had reached the final.

Speaking after the match, Tsitsipas expressed his pride and satisfaction with his performance, saying, 'I'm proud of myself, how hard I fought today, how concentrated I stayed in the breakpoints.'

Federer, on the other hand, was left frustrated with his performance, admitting, 'I think getting broken with missing two smashes in one game, that hasn’t in a long, long time or ever.'

Despite a valiant effort from Federer, Tsitsipas's determination and skill ultimately paid off, as he secured the win and set up a thrilling showdown with Thiem in the final.
