On November 17, 2019, Rema Namakula, the ex-wife of Ugandan musician Eddy Kenzo, finally had her fairy tale wedding to Dr. Hamza Sebunya, her obstetrician-gynecologist. The wedding had been in the spotlight after a fan of Eddy Kenzo's had moved to court to stop the ceremony, citing a contravention of the rules governing doctors' relationships with their patients.
Eddy Kenzo has since spoken about the nuptial ceremony, congratulating Rema on her special day and wishing her well amidst the negativity surrounding their past relationship.
"My friend Rema, I dearly congratulate you upon reaching this special day as God had planned it for you and pray that you enjoy it greatly. I also pray that you close your ears to the negativity that surrounds us and always know for a fact that I am your true friend who wishes you well," Eddy Kenzo said in a statement.
