Francis Atwoli, the Secretary-General of the Central Organisation of Trade Unions (COTU), has made another bold prediction in the Kenyan political scene.
Speaking at a meeting in Moiben, Uasin Gishu County, on November 16, 2019, Atwoli stated that if Kenya were to hold a referendum, the BBI would pass by 10 am.
Atwoli argued that the BBI must pass, and that the referendum would receive overwhelming support from Kenyans.
He also claimed that President Uhuru Kenyatta is keen on staying in power beyond 2022, and that the new constitution would provide him with a chance to continue serving.
Atwoli's comments come as a response to President Kenyatta's statement that he has no problem continuing to serve as President even after the new constitution is passed.
Atwoli also claimed that he was the one who had predicted the Sagana II meeting between President Kenyatta and Raila Odinga, which would lead to the formation of the BBI.
He also predicted that the ODM candidate in the Kibra by-election would win the election.
Atwoli's predictions have sparked a lot of debate in the Kenyan political scene, with many questioning his credibility as a prophet.
