On a challenging course with hilly terrains, Samuel Kiplimo from Endebes, Trans Nzoia county, dominated the men's 10km race, clocking 28:55.32 for victory on November 16, 2019.
"The course was tedious, but I managed to overcome the conditions to win the race," Kiplimo said.
Emmanuel Bett from Nakuru county finished second in 29:04.36, while Emmanuel Bor from Nandi county took third place in 29:20.87.
Beatrice Chebet, the World Under-20 5,000m champion, won the women's event in 33:49.55, with Vivian Chepkurui of Elgeyo Marakwet finishing second in 34:42.33 and Sharon Chemweno third in 35:39.19.
Winners of the 10km race received Sh60,000, first runners-up Sh40,000, and third-place finishers Sh30,000 in both the women's and men's races.
