On November 17, 2019, Top Fry Nakuru made a stunning comeback in the Kenya Cup, defeating Kenya Harlequins 25-18 at the Nakuru Athletic Club.

Monate Akuei's early penalty gave the hosts a 3-0 lead after twenty minutes, but Quins responded with a try from Patrice Agunda, set up by Lyle Asiligwa and Patrice Agunda, and converted by Asiligwa to take a 7-3 lead.

Quins continued to dominate, with Asiligwa adding a drop goal and Brian Onyiego scoring an unconverted try to take a 15-3 lead at halftime.

However, Nakuru mounted a fierce comeback in the second half, with quick-fire tries from Hannington Wabwire and John Okoth cutting the deficit to 18-13.

After Jenkins Kipruto barged over the whitewash to draw level, Collins Onyango sliced through the Quins defense to land the go-ahead try for Nakuru, securing a 25-18 win.

Despite the loss, Quins earned a bonus point for losing by seven points.
