On November 16, 2019, Eliud Kipchoge was awarded a KSh 4.1 million Isuzu Single Cabin car by the Isuzu East Africa company after he broke the world record for the first human to run a marathon under two hours in the Ineos 159 Challenge.
Isuzu East Africa's chairman, Eisaku Akazawa, presented the car to Kipchoge at a ceremony held in Karura Forest, where Kipchoge had led a group of 200 participants, including students, in a 4-kilometer run.
The car, with registration number KCW 159V, is a fitting tribute to Kipchoge's achievement, as 159V is equivalent to the 1:59 minutes he took to complete the marathon in Vienna, Austria.
Kipchoge had achieved the record on October 12, 2019, by running 1:59:41 in Vienna, Austria.
