On November 16, 2019, a tragic discovery was made in Nanyuki's Thingithu Estate, where three bodies were found in a shallow grave. The victims were later identified as the missing wife and two children of a military officer.
The bodies were discovered stuffed in three sacks, and it was later revealed that they had been missing for three weeks.
